- ➤ Blue Shield of California and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals laid off 151 workers, with Blue Shield cutting 113 jobs in Alameda, El Dorado, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Joaquin, and Shasta counties and Kaiser letting go of 38 employees in Alameda, Los Angeles, and Solano counties. - ➤ Stockton police are in a standoff with a man suspected of domestic violence who barricaded himself in a home at the 2400 block of South Fresno Avenue near Diablo Creek Drive on Tuesday — he may still be armed and a woman injured in the incident is expected to survive. KCRA

- ➤ San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved $261.8 million for the Be Well behavioral health campus at French Camp to offer crisis stabilization, detox, and residential treatment for mental health and substance abuse.
