- ➤ The '48 Hours' episode revisited the 1979 killing of Catina Rose Salarno on the University of the Pacific campus, where her ex-boyfriend Steven Burns shot her and was denied parole again after 45 years in prison—her family still fights to keep him behind bars. The Stockton Record

ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On May 5, the CDFW released 3.5 million Chinook salmon smolts + provided 10 million salmon eggs to aid a federal hatchery in boosting declining salmon numbers in the Sacramento River head.
