- ➤ Stockton-based rapper EBK Jaaybo, whose real name is Jaymani Gorman, was arrested on May 18 by Arkansas State Police on felony charges including possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of a prohibited weapon and theft by receiving — this marks his second arrest in 2025 following an earlier stop by Stockton Police near Pixie Drive and Kingsley Avenue. - ➤ Ignacio Garcia, a 60-year-old Stockton street vendor known as Nacho, was fatally shot near his mobile pushcart on the 1600 block of South California Street at 8:50 p.m. on May 16 when two masked suspects approached him—police say robbery was the motive—and they remain at large. Gavin Newsom’s plan to speed up the Delta Conveyance Project—a $20 billion effort to move water from the Delta—citing concerns over harm to local water rights, farmland, and the environment. Rep.
