- ➤ A fire was reported Thursday morning at the Diamond Foods processing plant on Diamond Street and East Worth Street+fire crews arrived at 2:45 a.m. and smoke was seen coming off a building at 5:30 a.m.+the cause, extent of damage and any injuries remain unclear. KCRA
- ➤ Firefighters responded to a grass fire in Stockton on Thursday evening when the blaze was reported at 5:41 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Airport Way near French Camp Road—burning 10 acres near commercial buildings and halting forward progress as officials investigated the cause. KCRA

- ➤ Two women are facing animal cruelty charges after deputies found more than 50 dead horses and malnourished animals on a property in Clements—authorities announced that Jan Johnson faces 23 felony counts and 17 misdemeanors while Justine Fitzhenry faces three felony counts and one misdemeanor count—charges that could lead to more than 25 years and over four years in prison. - ➤ Hamid Hayat, a Lodi man who spent 14 years in prison after a false confession to terrorism charges twenty years ago, speaks on TV today about his fight to reclaim his life—he claims his wrongful conviction resulted from a biased investigation. KCRA
