Good morning, Stockton.

At a city council meeting on Tuesday, community member Patty Louis reported a potbellied pig had been roaming through her central Stockton neighborhood for two months, digging up holes in yards.

City officials said the seven-month-old pig violates city code — its owner agreed to rehome the animal within 14 days — and they are following up on the issue.

Republic Services said Friday night that it reached a tentative agreement with Teamsters Local 439 to end an 11-day strike that paused trash pickups in Stockton and other nearby areas—details of the agreement remain undisclosed.

Officials from the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said two bodies were pulled from the San Joaquin River near the fork between the San Joaquin and Old Rivers shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday—foul play was not suspected but an investigation will be launched if signs of it emerge.
