- ➤ Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee threatened a defamation lawsuit against Councilmember Brando Villapudua after political extortion allegations emerged at a City Council meeting on July 15th—Lee’s attorney sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding a public retraction—and officials have referred the matter for investigation.
