- ➤ Two Stockton residents, Sea Sokhin (43) and Chantha Hurm (41), drowned in local waterways in Lathrop over the weekend, and authorities said the deaths are being treated as accidental while investigations are led separately by Lathrop police and the county sheriff with the cause of death still pending. - ➤ Officers responded around 3 a.m. on July 22 in the 2400 block of Oak Hill Street (in the Seaport District) when a 35-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital (where he later died) as detectives investigate what led to the shooting. KCRA

- ➤ On July 18, divers began dismantling the 152-foot HMCS Chaleur in Little Potato Slough near Stockton as its leaking oil threatened water supplies and endangered species.
