Stockton will host National Night Out events on Tuesday, Aug.

5—community members can attend block parties at Yosemite Street Village, Banner Island Ballpark and First Baptist Church Stockton to enjoy live music, games and free food. The events run from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yosemite Street Village, 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. at Banner Island Ballpark and 5 to 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Stockton.

The Stockton City Council voted Tuesday to have Deputy City Manager Will Crew serve as acting city manager starting August 9 when Steve Colangelo’s contract expires—staff will put a new contract for Colangelo on the agenda on August 19.
