- ➤ Spirit Halloween on July 30 announced its online store locator for 2025, showing planned openings in many California cities including Stockton, with some stores set to open in August and one scheduled for September. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Stockton Police made 6,658 stops and towed 438 abandoned cars + cut traffic deaths to seven from 16 last year, showing the new enforcement has reduced dangerous driving and improved street safety. Stocktonia
- ➤ Charles Benavides pleaded guilty to selling fentanyl and injuring police dog Jack during a raid on his home on April 23 that led to the dog showing overdose signs and being revived with Narcan, and he was sentenced to five years in prison, the district attorney said. Stocktonia
