- ➤ Firefighters from Tracy, Lathrop, Manteca, Stockton and the Defense Logistics Agency battled a four alarm vegetation fire in the 31000 block of South Tracy Boulevard on Thursday night as barns, stables and livestock enclosures caught fire with livestock blocking roadways—high winds fanned the flames. - ➤ California officials reported that invasive mute swans have rapidly increased in wetlands near Grizzly Island Wildlife Area and threaten native species in the Delta — a measure that passed the Assembly is now pending in the Senate to let hunters and landowners reduce their numbers.
