- ➤ California lawmakers are considering Senate Bill 540 to link the state’s power grid with other Western markets—this could involve both clean and fossil fuel sources to help reduce high electricity costs and maintain grid stability. - ➤ San Joaquin County supervisors created an ad hoc committee to review the county's flag policy after controversy over a previous Pride flag request. - ➤ The Stockton City Council voted 6-1 Tuesday night to open two police substations in South Stockton—one in the Sierra Vista Housing Authority building at 1648 E. 12th St and the other in the Weston Ranch shopping center.
