- ➤ San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner Kamal Bagri said grape harvest values dropped nearly 19% last year to $319.3 million as Lodi growers face low yields and falling prices amid challenges from imports and tariffs—some growers even let unsold grapes rot on the vine. A proposed 1.5% levy on wine buyers is set for public hearings on Oct 7 and Nov 18 to help boost local wine marketing, though opinions remain divided on its impact. Stocktonia
