- ➤ The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors has set a final hearing for Nov. 18 to decide on a 1.5% tax for Lodi winery bottles that would fund a Winery Business Improvement District starting Jan. 1 + some wineries worry that customers will resist the extra cost. Stocktonia
- ➤ San Joaquin County voters can cast ballots for Prop 50, a measure that would redraw congressional maps, by following instructions for registering, tracking ballots and submitting votes via mail or drop boxes (drive-up voting is available at the ROV Office in Stockton). Registration forms must be mailed by Oct. 20 and ballots received on Election Day, Nov. 4 will be counted (ballots were mailed starting Oct. 2). Stocktonia
