Good morning, Stockton. Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 11th of October.

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • An approaching storm system — the first of the season — will bring up to one inch of rain to Stockton starting Monday night, with rain continuing into Tuesday. High-elevation parts of the Sierra may get enough snow to require chain controls as forecast models show conditions could change.  KCRA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Amid a government shutdown, Stockton's Emergency Food Bank is losing 30,000 pounds of USDA donations each week, which is cutting the food available for the 450 to 500 cars it serves daily. The bank now gives less than 30 pounds per family and its freezer is empty—raising concerns as it prepares for the 21st Annual Run and Walk Against Hunger on Thanksgiving Day.  KCRA

REAL ESTATE NEWS
