  • Text messages warning of package problems or unpaid tolls are part of a growing scam that seeks personal data, and Consumer Reports says these messages can trick Stockton residents into giving out sensitive information. Stockton locals are advised not to click on unexpected links — instead, check directly with the carrier or toll agency if a delivery or bill is expected.  KCRA

  • Stormy weather is forecast for Stockton as up to 1.5 inches of rain will begin Monday between 2 and 3 p.m. with a 20% chance of thunderstorms that may continue into Tuesday night + temperatures will drop from the mid-60s on Monday to the low 50s Monday night with a light breeze keeping conditions mild.  Stocktonia

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Organizers will hold a 'No Kings' protest in Stockton at San Joaquin Delta College (10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 18) to oppose policies they say target immigrant families and give more power to government forces.
