- ➤ A flood watch remains in effect through the day after Christmas in Stockton as heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding concerns continue with the most intense rainfall forecast for Tuesday night into Wednesday (residents are urged to clear gutters and drive cautiously on slick roads). - ➤ An atmospheric river will hit Northern California this Christmas week, bringing heavy rain to the Sierra and Foothills, strong winds up to 60 mph and heavy snow from Tuesday night; the Valley is forecast to receive two to three inches as emergency crews (deployed by Gov. - ➤ Stockton City Council approved an $8 million state grant today to fund three full-time positions at the Office of Violence Prevention for the Redirect program (serving ages 15-35) and to expand services like behavioral health and substance use treatment.
